Message: Customer service and real product knowledge was excellent. A great local shop that I can’t say enough good things about. I bought an outboard from EQ, they walked me through the operation, maintenance and offered plenty of personal tips on how to truly take care of my new outboard. I’ve had plenty of old outboards over the years, some were hand me downs etc…. all with their own idiosyncrasies and varying levels of frustration. This new outboard is an absolute treat! Can’t wait to get the family on the water with higher confidence. Don’t buy an outboard online, don’t buy an outboard from a business who doesn’t offer service. Head here and buy your outboard from folks who actually use their products and have many years of qualified experience. Thank you Kathleen and Carl.

Message: Just purchased a 2022 Honda 100 from Kathy. After initial install and our first sea trial I noticed the tale tell was partially under water. I took it back to them the next day (Saturday) and Carl stopped what he was doing and raised my motor up a couple notches. My wife and I couldn't be more happy than we are with the Honda and EQ harbor service! Great place and they take care of you!

Message: Our weekend boating plans were almost ruined when the fuel line connector to our engine wasn't sealing. Stopped by EQ and he was able to get us back out on the water! Thank you!

Message: Carl is great. I took my boat in for few things to be worked on, and Carl pointed out some things that need additional attention. When I picked up my boat Carl time explaining some maintenance that I should be doing to prevent me needing to bring the in. Great guy. Knowledgeable and helpful.

Message: Great service all around. We bought a boat from a private seller who used EQ as the broker and always had service done there. The whole experience was great. I'd recommend them for sales, service of your boat and buying parts from.. The team was very thorough with their check through of the boat we were looking at, fixed all the outstanding small items that we came across, provided a sea trial and handled all of paperwork. It made the whole process a breeze.. The mechanics took time to walk us through all the operations and taught us how to use all the components, several if which were new to us. We'll be back to have our new boat serviced with them and would consider using them for a brokerage and any major parts.. You don't find sincere quality service like this that often.

Message: I have been dealing with this business for close to 20 years. I would not hesitate to send my closest friend to have repair work, matainentence or to purchase a new or used outboard or boat. Give them a try and you will see what I am talking about.

Message: GREAT people, with that home town feel. They are more than willing to help & at reasonable prices. They helped us with a re-power of 2 new Tohatsu 150 HP outboards. Awesome! We highly recommend them.

Message: Found this "small" BUT well established business by sending out e-mail requests for pricing for a new 9. 8 Tohatsu outboard for our 12' skiff.. *In this day and age of internet sales of small hp. outboards < free shipping & no tax > one typically figures that there is little chance of finding competative pricing from a brick and mortar store OR so we thought. Being unemployed (retired), PRICE is / was our dictating factor as to who was going to get our money. Kathy from EQ Harbor Service & Sales was very prompt with a e-mail requesting our engine requirements < long shaft /short shaft. electric start / manual etc. >. We e-mailed back our needs AND mentioned that we are "unemployed" SO sharpen your pencil when pricing it out. We got back a e-mail that she had overhead blah, blah, in running a business AND had to make "a little bit". Being retired., "making a little bit" sure sounded better than "a lot".. *Kathy replied with a super competative price sealing the deal on the 9. 8 Tohatsu. We HAVE TO MENTION that while in the store we notice three new 2. 3 Honda kickers at a price even our unemployed status could not resist SO we bought the long shaft one.. *Having what we felt was a carb issue with our 20hp Honda back on the island where we live , we asked if we could talk with their service tech AND was introduced to Carl. After talking with Carl, it was apparent. he was extremely knowledgable and we arranged to bring in our motor. "Carl" cleaned the carb., runs like a champ with no more flat spots on acceleration, AND the total bill was for "1 hour" labor and a few dollars for supplies . Carl ALSO ran each new motor in the test tank while we were there AND showed us the working parts and maintenace techniques required with todays lousy fuel. This in itself sure beat just recieving our motors in a cardboard box with a manual! For the pricing on our new Tohatsu outboard and QUALITY of service this local business offers, it deserves every star we have given it. Give Kathy and crew a chance (even if you have a job).. Guess it is obvious where we will go again for a qoute on a new Tohatsu motor or repairs. OH., and NO, we are not a relative of Kathy's, just am a "HAPPY CUSTOMER"! don & leona Decatur Island Wa.
